Elk Grove Police Department recently reported a successful operation involving the recovery of a stolen vehicle, the arrest of two suspects, and the seizure of a variety of drugs. The events unfolded near Elk Grove Florin Road and Silverberry Avenue, as detailed in a social media post from the department.

According to the post, the police utilized a combination of their Real Time Center, a drone, and a K9 unit to swiftly locate the stolen car. Upon locating the vehicle, the driver fled on foot into a nearby apartment complex, while the passenger was detained at the scene. The collaboration of technology and trained personnel led to the capture of the driver, thanks to the diligent work of one of the department's K9s.

Alongside the stolen vehicle, authorities discovered and confiscated three-quarters of an ounce of cocaine, over three ounces of methamphetamine, and just over two ounces of crack cocaine. The suspects, 58-year-old Christopher Coleman and 23-year-old Joseph Weatherspoon, now face multiple charges. They were booked at the Main Jail following their arrest.
