Red Hawk Bar & Grill in Ann Arbor has announced it will close on Saturday, after 33 years of operation. Located on S. State Street, the restaurant has been a fixture in the community since 1992. The closure is due to challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic and rising food costs.
"The past few years have tested us in all the ways we never anticipated, and while we’ve fought to overcome these challenges, the financial strain has become insurmountable," the Instagram post stated, as per Click on Detroit.
In a message on its Red Hawk Bar & Grill website, the restaurant staff thanked the community for its support, stating, "We want to extend our deepest gratitude to every person who has supported us along the way."
Customers are invited to visit before the closing date to share memories and dine one last time.
