Everett Police are investigating two reported assaults at bikini barista coffee stands on Evergreen Way. The first incident took place on Sunday at Ladybug Espresso, where a man allegedly attempted to assault an employee before leaving the scene, according to KING5. The individual is described as approximately 6-foot-3, with a thin build and dark facial hair. A second, similar incident was reported yesterday at Steamy Shots Espresso, also on Evergreen Way, involving a suspect matching the same description.
According to the information given by the Everett Police Department, the suspect is a thin man who appears to be either light-skinned Black or Hispanic, stands about 6 feet 3 inches tall, falls in the 20 to 30 age range, and has distinct dark facial hair possibly a mustache or a small goatee, this description sourced from witnesses' accounts at both locations, as KOMO News conveyed. Witnesses also recounted particularly the second incident occurring around 3:30 p.m. where a woman had to scream and run outside to avoid the assailant.
Everett police have responded to the assaults with heightened patrols and visits to local businesses to disseminate flyers featuring the suspect's photo. "The best course of action we can take at this time is prevention," Officer Natalie Given expressed to KING5, recommending that baristas keep their service windows locked until they're in direct contact with customers.
