In a recent incident in Fairfield, a stolen vehicle was tracked down and recovered thanks to the joint efforts of a vigilant citizen and the local police. On Wednesday, the Fairfield Police Department was alerted by an individual actively following his stolen car, according to a social media post from the department.
The pursuit led officers to the area around Gateway Boulevard, but the victim eventually lost sight of the vehicle. Undeterred, the Fairfield officers combed the vicinity until Officer Ornales located the stolen vehicle parked inconspicuously behind a Barnes & Noble, as per the Fairfield Police Department.
Archie McCall, a 40-year-old man, was found in the vehicle and arrested without incident. Upon investigation, it turned out that the car was stolen in Vallejo. McCall has since been booked into the Solano County Jail.
