Flock Safety has opened a new 97,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Smyrna, Georgia, which will create approximately 210 jobs over the next three years. The $10 million investment reflects the company's expansion in the region, where it has been based since 2017.

According to the Cobb County release, at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Governor Brian P. Kemp highlighted Georgia's support for businesses like Flock Safety, which aims to integrate drone technology into public safety systems. The new facility will focus on refining the company’s Drone as First Responder technology, which is designed to enhance emergency response.

CEO Garrett Langley emphasized the potential impact of the drones, which are NDAA-compliant and made in the USA, on local communities and law enforcement efforts. Flock Safety works with over 300 law enforcement agencies in Georgia to reduce crime rates.

Smyrna Mayor Derek Norton noted the city's strategic location and skilled workforce as factors contributing to the expansion. The facility, which will produce public safety tools and solar panels, is hiring and expected to be fully operational by 2027. The project was supported by the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the City of Smyrna, Cobb County Economic Development, and other partners.
