Fort Collins residents who've got something to say about the state of their city will have a chance to voice their concerns directly to city officials during the upcoming Earth Day Fort Collins event. On April 19, Councilmembers Kelly Ohlson and Melanie Potyondy plan to open their ears to the public in Civic Center Park, in what they're calling an opportunity for community members to engage in a dialogue about local issues.
According to the City of Fort Collins, Councilmember Ohlson intends to quickly begin his session at noon and will continue to listen until 2 p.m. Meanwhile, Councilmember Potyondy's listening session is scheduled to follow immediately after, starting at 2 p.m. and winding down at 4 p.m. These informal settings are designed to foster an environment where citizens can freely share their ideas and perspectives with those who help guide their city's policies.
The Civic Center Park, located at 225 Laporte Ave., Fort Collins, CO 80521, will serve as the meeting ground for these sessions.
