In Fort Worth, a new city initiative is making it easier for residents to keep their properties tidy while fostering a sense of community spirit. The city's Code Compliance team has rolled out the Fort Worth Mobile Tool Shed program, a convenient tool loan service designed to help locals in selected neighborhoods maintain their yards and gardens.
Crystal Mitchell, a resident who provides housing for individuals in recovery, is utilizing the Mobile Tool Shed to transform landscapes and lives. "It's so good, nutritionally," Mitchell said, discussing the benefits of growing garden vegetables, as the City of Fort Worth reported. To help her residents regain stability, she's taken advantage of this city service, which offers free access to various yard maintenance tools.
The Tool Shed's equipment, including lawnmowers, string trimmers, and blowers, is intended to assist homeowners in keeping their exteriors well-groomed. "The loaner program is just great because a lot of times, you don’t need to purchase the tool — you just need it for a short time," Mitchell explained, per the city's press release.
