The El Paso County Sheriff's Office reported a significant development in the investigation of the January homicide on Dove Creek Circle, revealing that four suspects have been apprehended in connection with the shooting that resulted in one fatality and wounded two others, the law enforcement agency is actively pursuing the fifth suspect, Zion Alexander Tilmon, alleged to be involved in the crime.
A multi-agency operation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Ami Gallegos and 20-year-old Noah Watkins, along with two juveniles whose names have not been disclosed due to their age, these individuals now face a litany of charges including second-degree murder aggravated robbery assault and weapons offences, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office disclosed these details following the successful operation, according to a El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim of the tragic incident was identified by the El Paso County Coroner's Office as 19-year-old Jonah Thirkill of Colorado Springs. The other two individuals who were shot during the incident have since been released from the hospital after receiving medical care.
Authorities are continuing their efforts to locate 20-year-old Zion Alexander Tilmon, who is described as a black male, approximately 5'06" and weighing 190 lbs, with black hair and black eyes, considered armed and dangerous Tilmon is believed to be in the Colorado Springs or Denver area, and the public has been advised not to approach him but to instead report sightings to law enforcement, El Paso County Sheriff Roybal expressed confidence in the investigative team's commitment to justice, stating, "I am extremely proud of the dedication my Investigations Division has demonstrated," as per El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
