Four individuals were sentenced to prison after pleading guilty in a February assault and robbery at an Oak Grove grocery store, the Clackamas County Circuit Court has reported. The incident, which occurred at the Grocery Outlet located at 15810 SE McLoughlin Blvd, resulted in charges and convictions for Devante Georgio Santos, Angela Lynn Sterba, David Brandon Harris, and Steven Tyler Pierce for their respective crimes.
According to the court proceedings, Santos and Sterba engaged in striking the store manager in the chest while Harris delivered punches and kicks to the manager's head and ribs as the victim lay on the ground. During the chaos, Pierce threatened multiple witnesses and the store manager, claiming he had a gun and would shoot them if they intervened. Although Pierce did not have a gun, investigators did find him in possession of a spring-powered switchblade and a double-edged dagger, the Clackamas County news release detailed.
The store suffered losses, including phone chargers, snacks, and Red Bull energy drinks, which Santos had stolen during the assault. These details were outlined in the court testimonies that brought these four assailants to justice.
Yesterday, Santos, now 31, received a 48-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to Attempted Robbery in the Second Degree and Assault in the Third Degree. Harris, aged 47, was handed a 24-month sentence for the same charges. Last Friday, Sterba, also 47, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, and Pierce, 39, to 13 months following their guilty pleas for Attempted Robbery in the Second Degree and two counts of Menacing, respectively. Each defendant's case and sentencing information were made available through the county's public records.
