
On Monday afternoon, Maryland State Police were called to the scene of a road rage incident on I-270 near Falls Road in Montgomery County. A 17-year-old from Frederick, MD, whose name is withheld due to his age, is facing felony charges, including assault and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, as well as other weapons charges, as detailed in a report by the Maryland Department of State Police.
The incident escalated when the teen allegedly pointed a gun at another motorist. The victim, who remained unharmed, provided crucial information that led to the suspect's arrest and the seizure of the loaded weapon.
Maryland State Police detained the juvenile after their vehicle was located. A loaded handgun was discovered in plain view inside the vehicle. He is now being held without bond at a secure juvenile facility pending further court action.
