The streets of Florida saw an unusual traffic jam recently when a stray pit bull pup, now famously known as "Taylor Swift" for her elusive maneuvers, briefly shut down a ramp on I-95. This canine escape artist's adventure came to a peaceful conclusion as the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office adopted her to join their Paws & Stripes therapy dog program, a report from WPTV confirmed.
The unlikely journey for this pit bull started on March 31, when Florida Highway Patrol found themselves in an impromptu chase scene, trying to corral the elusive dog on the highway. Once secured, the stray was taken into the care of the Humane Society of Broward County, where she received a clean bill of health and the moniker Taylor Swift—ostensibly for her agile escape tactics on the interstate.
The Paws & Stripes program, which focuses on training therapy dogs, intends for Taylor Swift to serve in roles offering comfort and support, particularly in situations like tragic accidents or within the county's court system. "There will be no more puppies in Taylor Swift’s future, just spreading cuddles and love to those in need," Cherie Wachter of the Humane Society said in a statement detailed by CBS12.
The story's ending is hopeful for Taylor Swift, who has seemingly found her calling after a disconcerting saga on I-95.
