Last Friday night, a somber discovery was made in the 200 block of Camden Avenue, where Fruitland police officers found the body of 27-year-old Albert Joseph Vacovsky III. Maryland State Police have now arrested 40-year-old Brandt John Roberts in connection with the Wicomico County man's death.
The authorities responded to a call at around 6:30 p.m. to find Vacovsky dead on arrival, pronounced by emergency medical personnel. The investigation led by the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit is still underway.
Details from the Maryland State Police press release indicate that Roberts is facing charges of first- and second-degree murder, among other related allegations. Currently, he is being held at a Wicomico County Detention Center, awaiting his appearance before a district court commissioner.
