Geauga County Sheriff's Office is spotlighting one of its own, whose decade of service extends far beyond the walls of the dispatch center. In a recent social media post, Sheriff Scott A. Hildenbrand introduced the community to Erica, a Communications Training Officer (CTO) with 10 years under her belt.
Erica's dedication to her role is multi-faceted, "I’ve had the privilege of being part of the Communications Training program," she shared on Geauga County Sheriff's Office Sheriff Scott A. Hildenbrand's Facebook post. Apart from her commitment to the CTO team, she also plays a crucial role in supporting the Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) training program. Her work ethic stretches beyond her sheriff's office duties into a life filled with community service as a certified firefighter, fire investigator, and paramedic.
Outside the office, Erica's life is rooted in the simple joys. The self-sustaining nature of raising chickens for fresh eggs, and making homemade maple syrup represent more than pastimes; they are the threads of a life woven with self-reliance and a joy for the domestic. This same spirit of hard work translates into Erica’s “biggest project,” the renovation of an old Amish house which, for her, has been "quite the journey."
It's not just the job tasks that keep Erica invested in her career with Geauga County. "What do I love most about my job? Hands down, the incredible coworkers I get to work alongside every day!" she said. The bonds formed within the Geauga County Sheriff's Office Sheriff Scott A.
