This weekend, the City of Jacksonville's Emergency Preparedness Division, in partnership with JEA, will host the 2025 JaxReady Fest. The event will be held at the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center, located at 1000 Water St., with free admission and parking. It will take place on Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., as per the City of Jacksonville release.
The festival will feature live demonstrations, interactive exhibits, and opportunities to explore emergency vehicles and equipment. Workshops will cover topics such as severe weather safety and home emergency planning. There will also be sessions on Narcan administration for opioid overdose response.
In addition to educational sessions, the event will offer preparedness games, scavenger hunts, and giveaways. The festival is designed to provide activities for all ages, with experts available to share knowledge on emergency preparedness.
