The closure of the Hanapēpē Bridge will continue into the summer. The Department of Public Works and Kiewit West Infrastructure Co. have announced that construction delays will extend the completion date to July 31. The bridge, located on Hanapēpē Road, will remain closed on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., according to the County of Kauai.

Residents affected by the closure are advised to plan ahead, use alternative routes, follow detour signs, drive cautiously, and allow extra time for travel, as reported by the County of Kauai.
