
Harris County Constable's Office is reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying a suspect caught on camera in an alleged theft act outside Sam's Club, located at 325 E. Richey Road. The incident reportedly occurred at around 10:05 a.m. yesterday, as confirmed by Constable Mark Herman's Office.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect, who deputies describe as an older black male wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt and blue pants, allegedly stealing from a victim while she was preoccupied with loading groceries into her vehicle; the constables responded to the call the following day, and "If you have any information regarding this case or the identity of this suspect, you are urged to contact our dispatch at 281-376-3472," said Constable Mark Herman in a statement shared by Grizzy's Hood News.
The victim noticed her purse—which contained personal belongings and over $800.00 in cash—was missing upon returning to her truck after returning the shopping cart, the perpetrator fled the scene in a Toyota sedan sporting what appeared to be a counterfeit Carmax license plate before she could confront him. The Constable's Office has since shared the surveillance images on their official Facebook page and have also encouraged the public to download their "C4 NOW" mobile app, offering updates on crime, safety, and live traffic conditions for residents to stay informed about what's happening locally.
With the perpetrator at large and the authorities actively seeking community support to identify him, residents in the Harris County area are asked to maintain vigilance and report any information that might help in apprehending the suspect captured in the video footage.
