A Harris County mother has been taken into custody after a vehicle accident due to driving under the influence with her young child on board. Constable Mark Herman's office responded to a crash on the 17000 block of West Lake Houston Parkway where they found Alexandria Jones showing clear signs of intoxication on Tuesday, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Deputies conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Tests on Jones and determined she had a blood alcohol content of 0.227, nearly three times the legal limit. This is not her first offense, as she has a prior conviction for Driving While Intoxicated. Additionally, her eight-year-old child was in the vehicle at the time, as stated by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page, Jones was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger. Her bond was set at $5,000.00 in the 263rd District Court.
