The Henderson Police Department recently completed its sixth Joining Forces campaign, a federally-funded traffic safety initiative. The campaign ran from March 6 to March 23 and focused on enforcing speed limits and other traffic laws, as reported by the City of Henderson.
A total of 260 motorists were stopped during the operation. 167 received speeding citations, three were cited for distracted driving, and 10 were issued tickets for intersection violations. Additionally, 22 other traffic citations were given for various offenses, according to the City of Henderson.
The Henderson Police Department has received $179,000 in federal funding from the Nevada Department of Public Safety’s Office of Traffic Safety for the 2025 Joining Forces program. The funding will support efforts to improve traffic safety and reduce road incidents through increased enforcement, as stated by the City of Henderson.
