A hiker in her 20s was rescued from the Hidden Valley Trail in Ka‘a‘awa after she became lost. According to the Honolulu Fire Department, they received a call at 2:53 p.m. last Friday and sent three units with 10 personnel. First responders arrived by 3:06 p.m. and began a ground search for the hiker.
Air 1 was deployed to locate the hiker in the Ka‘a‘awa trails. The Honolulu Fire Department search and rescue teams assessed her health on-site and confirmed she had no injuries. She declined medical treatment after being airlifted to safety at 4:33 p.m.
