Houston residents, it's time to enjoy the outdoors as the city is currently basking in what could be described as an idyllic weather window, with forecasts calling for a series of sunny days, characterized by comfortably warm temperatures and clear nights. According to National Weather Service, today promises highs near 86 degrees and tonight's low dipping around 59, the weekend is looking equally agreeable, with Saturday highs near 82 and Sunday peaking around 85.
This "Goldilocks" season is in full swing, a welcome respite from weather extremes and it's not every day that Houston can enjoy such perfect conditions, the forecast for Friday and Saturday is close to perfect, and morning temperatures can vary with lower 50s in parts of the region while Houston to Galveston might see lower to mid-60s. Despite a touch of morning humidity, afternoon temperatures are set to hit the lower 80s, making it a prime time for the 38th annual Art Car Parade on Saturday, as reported by Houston Chronicle.
History shows that by May, Houston's nights often stay around 70 degrees, leading into the hot days ahead with highs near 90. Thanks to a heat dome in April, next week's temperatures will mostly be in the low to mid-80s, slowly pushing the city out of its current stretch of comfortable weather, as per Houston Chronicle.
The forecast shows not just warmer temperatures but also rising humidity, with dew points back in the 60s. Houstonians might enjoy some dry air at the start of the week, but a southern breeze will likely bring more humidity and a chance of showers, especially after Wednesday.
