Early this morning in the Montrose area, a significant crash between two vehicles occurred, with one vehicle left dangling precariously over the edge of an overpass. The Houston Police and Fire Department responded to the emergency near Montrose Boulevard and Allen Parkway shortly after midnight, as reported by FOX26 Houston. The inbound lanes of Allen Parkway were subsequently closed to address the potential hazard.
According to Click2Houston, at least one person was treated for injuries on the scene and was transported to the hospital in stable condition. The truck involved in the crash was seen hanging over the guardrail, threatening to fall onto the roadway below, causing crews to shut down the affected portion of the parkway until it could be safely removed.
Authorities have not yet disclosed what may have caused the accident. While there were no reported major injuries or signs of impairment.
