In a case involving identity fraud and illegal firearm possession, a Houston-area man was arrested and charged for engaging in unlawful activities. Constable Mark Herman's Office reports that yesterday, their officers were working an extra job at 900 Sun Prairie Drive, when they stumbled upon Charles Holmes, who was using someone else's social security and driver's license numbers.
The incident followed a report of suspicious activity at the location the previous night. After contacting the apartment management, authorities encountered Holmes, who was found staying in an apartment under false pretenses. During his arrest, a firearm was discovered on his person, a significant detail due to his status as a convicted felon.
"Charles Holmes was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Fraudulent Use of Identification and Felon in Possession of Firearm," a social media post from the Constable's office detailed. Further reporting indicates that his bond was set at a $5,000.00 by the 178th District Court.
The Constable's Office has introduced a new mobile app, "C4 NOW," which offers live updates on crime, arrests, and traffic incidents. The app aims to provide Harris County residents with real-time information to help them stay informed about local events and public safety matters.
