
Following the investigation of a shooting that claimed the life of a 36-year-old man on April 3 at 2800 Broadmead Drive, authorities have taken a man into custody. According to the City of Houston news release, the suspect, identified as 37-year-old Kline Harris, faces charges of murder and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon in the 338th State District Court. Detectives from the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division have been actively piecing to together the events that led to the shooting. Witnesses originally stated that an unidentified black male in his 20s was responsible for the attack. However, further investigation allowed them to quickly identify Harris as the suspect. He was arrested on April 4 without incident and remains in custody at the Harris County Jail, as reported by the City of Houston.
The victim, whose identity hasn't been confirmed yet, was shot and died after being rushed to the hospital. The unexpected violence during a normal afternoon has sparked anger in the community, calling for answers and justice. The investigation is still underway, and more details are coming out.
