
Authorities have apprehended Andres Fernandez De La Paz, the man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Houston. The incident, which saw Ediesky Incencio Pineiro tragically lose his life, occurred at approximately 4 p.m. on Sunday at an address on Whittingham Lane. City of Houston News reports Fernandez De La Paz, 36, has been charged with murder and is being held in the 482nd State District Court.
Responding to a shooting report, officers discovered Pineiro, 34, with a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Having been identified as a suspect through an investigation, Fernandez De La Paz was charged after consulting the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. In a residence located in Katy, HPD Westside Patrol Division’s Gang Unit managed to arrest the suspect within his home the next day, according to the City of Houston.
HPD Homicide Detectives D. Davis and M. Althaus played a key role in handling the case. The Houston Police Department has released a booking photo of Fernandez De La Paz following his arrest.
