
Tragedy struck on Houston's roadways earlier this month and has now taken a grim turn. On April 17, a man suffered critical injuries in a vehicle crash at 1800 West Loop South, part of the West Interstate Highway 610 South, sadly, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead today, April 30, as reported by the Houston Police Department.
The 52-year-old man, whose identity is yet to be confirmed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, was the sole occupant of a Chevrolet Impala. According to a statement obtained by Houston Police Department, the car "failed to maintain a single lane and struck a retaining wall." Subsequent to the collision, paramedics rushed the driver to a local hospital. It was there, the doctors declared him deceased on the last day of the month.
Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer C. Ballard are spearheading the ongoing investigation into the exact circumstances of the accident.
