Houston police are in pursuit of a man wanted for shooting his ex-girlfriend’s new partner, an incident that took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning. According to Click2Houston, the altercation occurred around 2 a.m. in north Houston, marking the second occurrence involving the unidentified assailant.
Lt. J.P. Horelica with HPD was cited, explaining the events that transpired, "What occurred tonight...really started previously,” referring to an earlier shooting on Monday where the same male fired at his ex-girlfriend, as obtained by Click2Houston. This ongoing conflict escalated when the woman and her new boyfriend, seated in her truck, encountered the ex-boyfriend, who, riding a bicycle, fired shots into the vehicle.
The current boyfriend sustained serious injuries from the gunfire and was hurried to a local trauma center. As reported by FOX26 Houston, the shooting took place in the 8800 block of Sweetwater Lane and left the boyfriend in critical condition. The fire department paramedics from Houston were responsible for the victim's transport to the hospital.
While the identity of the suspect has not been disclosed to the public, the authorities are aware of who he is and are actively searching for him. The ages of the individuals involved have also not been released. The police are reaching out to the community, anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers or the HPD Homicide Division, as per FOX26 Houston.
