
Houston authorities are asking for the public's help after releasing surveillance video related to a February shooting that left one man dead. The video, available on the City of Houston's news site, shows the suspect in the fatal shooting at an apartment complex at 9303 Woodfair Drive. Houston Police Department hope it will help identify the shooter and move the investigation forward. The victim, 40-year-old Emilio Dominguez, was shot multiple times in the parking lot around 4:05 a.m. on February 10.
According to Houston Police Department Homicide Division Sergeant R. Olive and Detective T. Tyler, the officers discovered Dominguez after responding to a call at the scene, where paramedics had no choice but to pronounce him deceased on the spot, a grave reminder of the criminality that lay lurking in the hushed stillness of the dawn hours, as reported by the City of Houston.
Investigators found that Dominguez was ambushed while walking, as the suspect walked up and shot him several times before running away. The suspect was briefly caught on surveillance video fleeing the scene, as per the City of Houston.
