
Houston authorities are currently urging witnesses to come forward in the aftermath of a shooting at a West Harris County apartment complex that left a 68-year-old man wounded but alive. According to a report by CW39, the event, characterized by scattered high-powered shell casings, shook the area of Gray Ridge Drive near Westpark Drive.
Meanwhile, the Harris County Sheriff's Office has disclosed that the victim, a resident of the complex, was hospitalized following the attack which involved at least one semi-automatic rifle and multiple handguns and that multiple suspects are still at large. The shooting, as per a statement obtained by KHOU 11, occurred yesterday afternoon and triggered a prompt response from deputies, who discovered the injured elderly man at approximately 3:15 p.m.
The victim, who was promptly transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital by Lifelight for surgery, is expected to survive his injuries.
Law enforcement is continuing to investigate the incident, working to identify the suspects and vehicles involved.
