
Over the weekend, the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) team delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 APTA International Bus Roadeo, claiming 3rd Place Overall Champions, a significant recognition in the public transit sector. According to a social media post by JTA, among the individual accolades, Bus Operator Ramon Farfan stood out as the Third Place Operator and snagged the USSC Pre-Trip Inspection Award.
The event also saw the prowess of The Xpendables, JTA’s maintenance team comprising George McGarry, Rudolph Wells, and Jarrod Morales, who were declared the USSC Vehicle Inspection Winners, displaying top-notch prowess in bus maintenance and safety protocols. The competition, which is a convergence of skill, precision, and expertise, adds a tangible measure of excellence to the industry and JTA expressed its gratitude not only to the competitors but to all volunteers and attendees, whose energy and enthusiasm were pivotal to the event’s success and of course the overall experience was made truly unforgettable by the collective spirit of all present.
