Residents of Kirkland can look forward to the city’s 2025 State of the City Address and Community Appreciation Night on May 13. The event, as announced by the city, will take place at the Kirkland Performance Center, located at 350 Kirkland Ave, starting at 5:30 p.m. The evening will include a social hour with refreshments, an address from Mayor Curtis, and recognition of the volunteers who contribute to the city’s quality of life.

Councilmember Penny Sweet stated, "You never know quite what to expect at this annual event," in a statement obtained by the City of Kirkland, "Community Appreciation Night is an evening of laughter, celebration, and togetherness for our Kirkland community and volunteers.
