A Knoxville community is grappling with the aftermath of a tragic collision as Savannah Stanley, 25, faces charges over the fatal crash that claimed the life of City Councilmember Andrew Roberto's daughter. Per a WVLT report, a grand jury recently indicted Stanley on several charges connected to Kylie Roberto's death, which occurred on Schaeffer Road in West Knox County last April.

Prosecutors are now set to try Stanley on allegations that her driving, while reportedly under the influence, led to the deadly accident. According to WATE, alongside vehicular homicide, Stanley also faces five counts, including vehicular assault, with court documents indicating intoxication as a proximate cause of the death and injuries.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office detailed that Stanley's vehicle had veered into the oncoming lane, sparking a head-on collision that led to Kylie Roberto's immediate fatality at the scene, and wounds to three others. They were taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for urgent care. At the same time, both Stanley and the driver of the other vehicle, who incurred minor injuries, received treatment at Turkey Creek Medical Center, as WBIR relayed.

Amidst the legal proceedings, Councilman Roberto expressed his sorrow and paid tribute to his daughter. "I miss your smile, your laugh, the energy you brought into every room, your warm hugs, and the way you’d say 'love you guys' whenever you’d say goodbye. I just miss you Kylie and I’m so proud that I got to be your Daddy for 21 years," Roberto said in a memorial post on Facebook. This statement was echoed in his later response to the indictment, as he stressed a desire to focus on Kylie and honor her legacy, a sentiment he shared with WBIR.
