A semi-truck tractor burst into flames on the westbound 210 Freeway east of Sunland Blvd yesterday afternoon, resulting in an aggressive response from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) and their counterparts from Glendale. Firefighters faced not only a vehicle well involved with fire but also a spreading vegetation fire, which they successfully contained before it could damage the trailer or its undetermined cargo.
According to the LAFD alert, the truck driver was able to exit the vehicle before emergency services arrived and declined medical care.
