The streets of Las Vegas will soon see participants honoring the legacies of Lois and Larry C. Bolden. The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Theta Theta Omega Chapter and the Twenty Pearls Foundation, Inc. are hosting the Lois and Larry C. Bolden 5K Fun Run/Walk, according to a social media post by the LVMPD.

The event is intended to honor the lives of Lois Bolden, a dedicated educator and charter member of the Theta Theta Omega chapter, and her husband Larry Bolden, the first Black Deputy Chief of the Las Vegas Police Department. It will also raise funds to support scholarships for future leaders.

"This event is a celebration of service, scholarship, and community leadership," highlighted the LVMPD post, noting the initiative's focus on honoring the Boldens' contributions to breaking barriers and supporting the Las Vegas community. Proceeds from the 5K run/walk will go toward the Theta Theta Omega Scholarship Fund, which supports students in Clark County.
