Leslie Odom Jr. is setting the stage for a noteworthy return to "Hamilton" as Aaron Burr, a role that garnered him a Tony Award and a Grammy. This fall, for a limited 12-week engagement, Odom will tread the boards once again at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Fans can mark their calendars for this revival happening from Sept. 9 through Nov. 23, according to CBS News New York.
In a statement obtained by amNewYork, Odom expressed his anticipation, “I kinda feel like I was born onstage at the Richard Rodgers theater. Hamilton opened on my actual birthday a decade ago. For twelve weeks this fall, starting on 9/9/25, I’ll return to the place of my birth. Gonna feel so good to be home. See you soon!” Odom's excitement is palpable, as he prepares to join the cast for the musical's 10th-anniversary celebrations.
Odom's portrayal of Burr is a cornerstone of the musical narrative that brings a nuanced view of one of America's founding fathers and his storied nemesis. His initial performance back in 2016 partook in catapulted "Hamilton" to historical acclaim, earning it accolades like the Pulitzer Prize and several Tony Awards.
