A special event celebrating the artistic achievements of homeschoolers is set for Monday, April 7. The Homeschool Art Show Reception invites kids and teens, aged between 6 and 18, to the Bennett Children’s Wing from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. As highlighted on the City of Lewisville's website, "This is just for homeschoolers. Join the library staff for a reception on Monday, April 7, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. to celebrate the artists." No prior registration is required to indulge in the palette of creativity displayed by these young artists.
In another bid to stoke the flames of curiosity among younger patrons, the library hosts Elementary Explorations on Thursday. Designed to spark the interests of children aged 6 to 8, the event takes place in the Bennett Program Room from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. April's theme delves into the prehistoric world with 'Fascination Fossils.' A free ticket guarantees entry, and eager explorers can snag one starting 30 minutes before the program. And they are handed out at the Youth Services Desk, according to the library's website.
