The City of Litchfield Park has announced a collaboration with the Paul W. Litchfield Heritage Center to begin restoration work on the Litchfield/Denny residence, a historic property significant to the city’s cultural history. The residence is set to become part of the broader La Loma cultural complex restoration project, which includes planned improvements such as the Agua Fria Hilltop School for the Arts, a renovated library, and a redeveloped hilltop park.
Recognized for its historical importance, the property has long served as a central site for cultural activities in the West Valley. The city has announced plans for its restoration, stating, "We look forward to the restoration and return of this gem in the future." The project reflects ongoing efforts to preserve historic sites for educational and cultural purposes. Details on the lease agreement were released yesterday, and are accessible on the city's official website.
The restoration of the Litchfield/Denny house is scheduled to begin in January 2026, with the renovated site projected to open to the public in the fall of that year.
