As the evening rolls in, a mostly cloudy night with a comfortable low around 52 degrees is on the horizon, while the southwest wind makes a gentle shift to south southwest after midnight. The tone of the weekend will be set by rainfall, mainly after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, with a breezy southeast wind changing to south southwest in the morning, conditions could see gusts as high as 15 mph while the chance of precipitation climbs to 80%, and new precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
The forecast indicates a downward trend in precipitation by Saturday night, with just a 20 percent chance of rain before 11:00 p.m., following which skies are to clear up partly and temps will dip to around 49 degrees. Sunday's outlook brings a resurgence of sunny skies, a high near 66 degrees, and light winds that will pick up speed in the afternoon, potentially gusting up to 15 mph again.
Looking forward into the week, the weather service expects steady warmth and clear skies with a high near 70 on Monday and climbing to about 75 by Tuesday, and while nights will maintain mostly clear skies, temperatures will hang in the mid-50s. Wednesday also promises sunshine with highs in the low 70s, but a note of caution for the mid-week evening is patchy fog may visit, setting the stage for a mostly cloudy night with lows around 55 degrees; Thursday is set to mimic this pattern with early fog giving way to mostly sunny conditions and again a high close to 73 degrees.
