A grisly scene unfolded in Unincorporated St. Petersburg where a double homicide investigation is currently underway, involving a man who allegedly confessed to the murders of his girlfriend and her mother.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, deputies were summoned to a residence at 5252 108th Street North this past Saturday following a distressing 911 call; upon their arrival, they discovered 34-year-old Christina Donzero and her mother, 75-year-old Betti “Suzanne” Thevenet Donzero, both succumbing to multiple stab wounds in different areas of the home, where they were pronounced dead, the perpetrator, identified as 41-year-old Kirk Hysell Jr., was reportedly located in the bathroom with self-inflicted injuries and was subsequently hospitalized, as per a statement obtained by the official press release from the Sheriff's Office.

It was later revealed by detectives that Hysell confessed to the killings, telling his daughter about the tragic event which led her to call for help; his initial chilling plan involved murdering his entire family and he ominously admitted that he would "do it again" if released, this information came directly from the Robbery & Homicide Unit's findings.

Hysell, who is currently recovering in the hospital faces two counts of First-Degree Murder once he is discharged.
