The identity of the deceased male, found unresponsive between two apartment buildings in Houston on Thursday, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. Authorities responded to gunfire around 5:55 p.m., and the victim was transported to a hospital but later died from his injuries. Houston Police Department's Homicide Division, led by Detective K. Amri and Officer D. Toledo, identified Ortega as the suspect in the shooting. Ortega was arrested without incident, and charges were filed by the Harris County District Attorney's Office.
