A tragic incident unfolded just before midnight yesterday near Battle Creek, where a man was fatally injured following a car crash. According to a Facebook post from Emmett Township Public Safety, the accident occurred on Beadle Lake Road near B Drive North, where a car was found off the road and submerged in a swampy area.
The vehicle's impact was severe, causing it to strike a high-pressure gas line and resulting in a natural gas leak in the vicinity. The driver, unfortunately, was ejected from the car and had to be rapidly transported to the hospital. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Bronson Kalamazoo. The authorities have yet to determine the cause of the crash definitively, but the investigation is ongoing.
