A late-night incident at a Capitol Hill bar yesterday led to multiple arrests and serious charges for a 41-year-old man. According to Seattle Police Department Blotter, officers responded to calls just after midnight to the 1400 block of East Olive Way. By the time police arrived, the suspect had left the bar but was later located driving near the scene.
The man, who was under the influence, was found with an open alcoholic beverage in his car, a suspended license, and no ignition interlock device as required by court order. He initially evaded arrest but was later apprehended.
Reports indicate that the suspect threw a keg and beer bottle, groped several female patrons, and assaulted a bartender. He was arrested on charges including three counts of assault, two counts of sexual motivation, harassment, driving under the influence, and various motor vehicle violations. While awaiting a blood draw at the hospital, the man assaulted an SPD officer, adding to his charges. The man was booked into King County Jail, and the SPD’s Homicide & Assault detectives are handling the investigation.
