Early this morning in Tampa, Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to an apartment complex following reports of gunfire. WFLA reported that the incident occurred at around 3:45 a.m. at Orange Grove Drive. Deputies found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds upon their arrival.
The unidentified male victim was rushed to AdventHealth Carrollwood Hospital where, unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries. According to WTSP, no suspect information has been disclosed as of now.
Sheriff Chronister said, "Our detectives are working diligently to gather every detail and hold the person accountable. Our hearts are with the victim's loved ones during this tragic time," according to Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office press release. Public updates regarding the ongoing investigation will, be provided by the Public Affairs Office, as the case develops.
