A tragic car collision in northeast Harris County claimed the life of a man, with two others hospitalized following the incident that occurred Friday night. According to FOX 26 Houston, the crash happened around 10:45 p.m. on the 1300 block of Atascocita Road, near the intersection with Wilson Road.
Sgt. Villacorta reported that a lone SUV driver, described as a Black male in his late 60s, was declared dead at the crash scene after his vehicle, which may have been under the influence of alcohol, veered into the opposite lanes during a curve. The deceased's identity has not been released by officials. They were driving westward on Atascocita Road when the accident happened.
As obtained by abc13 confirm that the SUV collided head-on with a pickup truck. In the pickup truck, a father and his 8-year-old child suffered minor injuries and were promptly taken to a hospital for evaluation.
