Sgt. Villacorta reported that a lone SUV driver, described as a Black male in his late 60s, was declared dead at the crash scene after his vehicle, which may have been under the influence of alcohol, veered into the opposite lanes during a curve. The deceased's identity has not been released by officials. They were driving westward on Atascocita Road when the accident happened.

As obtained by abc13 confirm that the SUV collided head-on with a pickup truck. In the pickup truck, a father and his 8-year-old child suffered minor injuries and were promptly taken to a hospital for evaluation.
