A man has been left seriously injured following a shooting at a QuikTrip gas station in Phoenix. As reported by KOLD, the incident occurred near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road around 9:40 p.m. last Thursday, where Phoenix police officers found the victim with at least one gunshot wound. The man was then rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

There are still no identified suspects in this case, and police continued working on gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses well into early Friday morning. Phoenix police have called on the public for any information regarding the shooting, with an encouragement to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish speakers. Online tips are also welcome, as further mentioned by KOLD.

In developments related to the case at the same QT location, a suspect was arrested after a separate shooting earlier this month. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, 27-year-old Tarrance Sykes was detained in Wickenburg after being accused of shooting another man at the gas station on April 10. Court documents reveal Sykes confessed to the police that, following a push from the victim, he shot him. After the incident, "People were telling him to leave so he went to Wickenburg Arizona," stated the court papers.

Sykes attempted to alter his appearance by shaving his head and donning a wig after the shooting. He is currently being held on a $225,000 cash bond, booked on charges of aggravated assault and discharging a firearm within city limits. The gas station has been the scene of multiple violent incidents, as in February, a man was fatally stabbed and another suffered a deadly gunshot wound, where no arrests have been made, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.
