Authorities remain on the lookout for two suspects following yesterday night's shooting inside a Wendy's in Fordham Heights, Bronx, which left two men with serious injuries. Echoing reports by Eyewitness News, the incident occurred on East Fordham Road around 7:20 p.m. A 27-year-old victim was shot in the chest and back, while the second, a 26-year-old, sustained gunfire wounds in the arm and thigh. Both were transferred to Saint Barnabas Hospital and are in stable condition.
According to details provided by amNewYork, the suspects appeared to have been watching their targets for several minutes before the attack. Witnesses described how the suspects left the venue briefly only to return and start shooting from near the entrance. The NYPD is actively looking to possibly link the violence to a gang-related dispute, though motives remain unclear.
Rebecca Montesdeoca, present during the harrowing moment, recounted to Eyewitness News her shock, saying "I am scared, I am scared. I come to pick up my order, it's terrible." She also revealed that an employee indicated this was not an isolated incident at this location.
The authorities have issued descriptions of the suspects, noting that one was wearing a blue sweater and the other donned a black puffer jacket. They were reportedly last seen fleeing eastbound on East Fordham Road.
