Mansfield, Texas, has rolled out a new initiative to highlight the unsung heroes within their municipal team. Aptly titled "Behind the Desk," this series aims to introduce the public to the often-overlooked individuals who ensure the smooth operation of city functions. Kicking off the series, the City of Mansfield paid homage to Roxy, the front desk receptionist at City Hall, whose presence marks the first point of contact for residents stepping through the city's administrative doors.
According to a social media post from the City of Mansfield, Texas Municipal Government, "If you’ve ever walked into City Hall, chances are you’ve been greeted by Roxy’s warm smile." Roxy is known to quickly answer any questions, efficiently point residents in the right direction, and never fails to make visitors feel welcome. Her role encompasses many tasks, from handling phone inquiries to processing paperwork, all of which she manages while maintaining a friendly disposition that's become a cornerstone of the City Hall experience.
This initiative is part of a larger movement to personalize government. It showcases the dedicated staff that usually remains in the background yet plays a pivotal role in the community's day-to-day life.
