The Manteca Police Department has announced that Manteca Animal Services currently has several dogs available for adoption. They are encouraging community members to visit the shelter and consider providing a home for one of the animals.
Located at 115 E Wetmore Street, the shelter is open from Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Not all dogs are eligible for the Doggie Day Out (DDO) program, and those interested are encouraged to call 209-456-8270 for more information.
The call to action was posted on the department’s Facebook page, inviting locals to "come meet the currently available dogs at Manteca Animal Services—each one waiting for a second chance and a forever home." The post highlights the opportunity for community members to adopt from local shelters and support responsible pet ownership.
