Medford, get ready to adjust your commutes and re-route your walks. Starting April 21 and stretching until May 9, the city will undergo a series of infrastructural facelifts that are bound to test the patience of daily travelers. Residents can anticipate a slew of road closures, lane clogs, and sidewalk shutdowns while crews set out to perform a variety of repairs and installations ranging from sewer rehabilitations to the laying of new fiber optic cables, as reported by the City of Medford.
The work by SAK crews on sewer and storm line rehabilitation will seal off Valley View Drive, from Capital Avenue to Hillcrest Road, April 21 – 25, between 7 am and 5 pm. Similarly, Tennessee Drive will be inaccessible, as Pacific Power plans a new power pole and overhead line, as reported by the city's official announcement.
Lane closures will grip sections of roads such as Country Club Drive, S. Grape Street, and Cedar Links Drive. "Travelers should expect delays associated with this work and are advised to seek alternate routes and parking. We appreciate your patience and cooperation in keeping Medford's work zones safe. Work schedules are dependent on weather conditions and other factors," the City of Medford stated.
