Mayor Michael Zarosinski of Medford recently designated April as Water Conservation Month, a move to rally the community around a crucial cause: saving precious H2O. The City of Medford, collaborating with the Medford Water Commission, is pushing residents to adopt small but significant changes that could positively affect water usage patterns.
The proclamation, which was made official on April 2, is not just a symbolic gesture. It emphasizes practical steps homeowners can take, such as rooting out leaks, replacing dated toilets, and even opting for a complimentary sprinkler consultation. With water being an invaluable resource, especially in our current climate, the Mayor believes every tiny fix stands to have a big impact.
According to a statement on the city's official website, "Citizens can make a big impact with small changes—like checking for leaks, upgrading old toilets, and scheduling a free sprinkler survey through Medford Water." The commission's minor adjustments reinforce its commitment to promoting sustainable water use and effective conservation within the community.
