Miami Dolphins' wide receiver Tyreek Hill has recently been involved in a domestic dispute that prompted a police response and, subsequently, a divorce filing by his wife, Keeta Hill. According to an incident report from the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department, officers were dispatched to Hill’s residence on Monday after an "assault in progress" was reported by Hill’s mother-in-law, Alesia Vaccaro, as FOX 35 Orlando detailed. Upon arrival, the authorities found the couple and their infant daughter present with no crime committed following the evaluation, as mentioned in the reports.
The domestic issue seems to have been the tipping point for the relationship as Keeta Hill filed for divorce the subsequent day, citing the marriage as "irretrievably broken," an insight obtained from court records by NBC Miami. During the dispute, Hill told police he had rights as a father equal to Keeta's as a mother, which prompted him to grab their baby during the disagreement. At the same time, Keeta pointed out their increasing arguments and Hill's temper flaring to the point of him throwing objects.
Alesia Vaccaro described her son-in-law as "very aggressive and impulsive," fearing for her daughter’s safety, having observed Hill’s temper as portrayed in a statement obtained by NBC Miami. The events that unfolded at the condo followed by Keeta’s decision to file for divorce suggest a culmination of ongoing marital issues, Keeta herself told officers they had been attending therapy sessions unsuccessfully, a detail revealed in the police records.
